听力理解题在四、六级考试中考查的是在公共场合中对日常对话的理解程度,通常由两部分构成:Section A为10个小型对话,各设1个问题;Section B为3篇短文各设3~4个问题。本题占总分的20%,又位于试题的第一部分,因而是否做好了这部分试题对整个考试而言至关重要。
有很多考生在做这部分题时感觉时间紧迫,往往在不能从容做好一道题时,下一道题又开始播放录音了。这样,几道题连连丢分,效果很不理想。充分合理地安排时间,是做好该题的关键。播放听力理解题时,有一大段做题说明(Directions),考生应尽量在这段时间里把所有的问题选项迅速浏览一遍,以便对紧接下来的对话及问题做到心中有数。有些选项还能判断出所要问的问题,听到此题时就会更有针对性,从而大大提高正确率。如在 CET-62001年6月的第10题中,我们看到以下四个选项:
A)At a gas station.B)In a park.
C)In an emergency room .D)At a garage.
不难判断,该题问的一定是地点。所以,在听这段对话时就有了方向:

只要抓住第二个人说的关键词(上文斜体部分),就很容易做出选D)的判断。再如,在CET-62001年1月的第7题中,我们看到以下四个选项:

C)A carpenter.D)A telephone repairman.
可以判断,该题问的一定是人的职业或身份。所以,当我们听到:
W :This is Mrs Thatcher.My heater is not getting any power,and
the weatherman says the temperature is going to fall below zero
tonight.Could you get someone to come over and fix it?
M :This is the busiest time of the year, but I’ll speak to one
of our men about going over sometime today.

从关键词(上文斜体词)上,我们不难判断,该题应该选B)。又如在CET-62000年6月的第1题中,我们看到的选项为:

我们可以推断这道题可能与旅行有关。果然,当我们听到对话时,答案已清晰可见:
