例1：Writing（30minutes）
Directions：
For this part，you are allowed 30minutes to write a composition about The Tape Recorder in three paragraphs．You are given the first sentence of each paragraph and are required to develop its idea to complete the paragraph．Write about 35words for each paragraph，not including the words given． Therefore，your part of the composition should be about l20 words．Remember to write clearly．
The Tape Recorder
1．The tape recorder is one of the most welcome and popular electronic devices ever invented．
2．This device is useful in many ways．
3．However，it can also become a nuisance．
研究了每一段所给出的提示语后，考生应领悟到以下几点：
1．这篇文章是要求写成说明文，而不是要求写成议论文或记叙文。因为试题中既没有给出要求论证的鲜明的论点，也没有要求考生用一般的事例来扩张，不适合用具体的人称或事例来叙述。
2．从第一段给出的提示语即段首的句子来看，命题者要求将这一段写成导入段落而不是一个主题段落。因为，这个句子涉及的范围太大。用一个主题段落根本无法写清楚。因此，为了与下一段自然衔接，考生可将主题自行缩些
例2：Women in the Modern World
1．Women are playing an increasingly important part in society today．
2．With the changes in their social role，women’s position in the family has been improved as well．
3．In spite of these changes，the liberation of women has not been completely realized．此题考生应注意到：
1．第一段是前提，关键突出妇女在现代社会中日益体现的重要作用，内容不要太具体但要为下一段做好铺垫。
2．第二段是第一段“因”的“果”。正因为妇女地位的提高，家庭地位才极大提高。
3．第三段指出妇女解放运动的不足，仍然有很长的路要走。
4．注意：妇女解放运动是一个很大的话题，不要展开的太多；否则文章松散，脱离中心，收不回来。

（I）The Tape Recorder
The tape recorder is one of the most welcome and popular electronic devices ever invented．Everybody likes it and uses it，and wherever we go，in shops，schools or public places of entertainment，we can see and hear tape recorders being played．
This device is useful in many ways．It is not only widely used in our daily life such as filming，sporting，exercising and entertaining， but it is an essential instrument for the young to learn foreign languages，for the old to listen to music or Peking Opera and for English teachers to make their classes lively and interesting．
