【模拟训练参考作文39】On the Advantages of a Job Interview[C
S]
In recent years, if you want to apply for a job, you should have an interv
iew with an employer. A job interview is good for both job seekers and employers
.
For an interviewee, in the interview, he can get the chance to show his wo
rking ability, educational background and his confidence. He may try to make the
interviewer conscious of his enthusiasm for the job. He may also try his best t
o make a good impression on the interviewer. On the other hand, the interviewee
can get some further information about the working conditions or pay, which may
help him decide whether he is pleased with it or whether the job suits him.
The advantages for an interviewer are, first of all, he may have a chance
to know the applicant directly, his appearance, manners, personality, background
and his ability to express himself. The interviewer can also give the job seeke
r information about the job such as the requirements, the working conditions and
the pay. According to the conversation, he may easily decide whether the interv
iewee is fit for the post.
Therefore, a job interview is a convenient, efficient, and necessary way f
or interviewees to get satisfactory jobs and interviewers to find the kind of em
ployees they need.

【模拟训练参考作文40】Physical or Intellectual Activities
Physical activities and intellectual pursuits are the two basic ways in wh
ich we spend our leisure time. While many students have an interest in both past
imes, we usually have a favorite way to spend our free time.
Physical activities give us the opportunities to strengthen our bodies and
to satisfy our competitive nature. The activities range from participation in s
trenuous sports such as running, football, or tennis. In addition, we can choose
whether we want to enjoy these activities as part of a group, for example, a fo
otball team, or in solitary pursuit, like spending a quiet afternoon fishing. Ph
ysical pastimes provide welcome and necessary breaks in our oftensedentary liv
es, and alert us to our physical condition.
Besides physical recreation, we enjoy intellectual activities. Activities
such as reading a good book, writing stories, or listening to the music, serve t
o revitalize our mental processes. This revitalization can be either a stimulant
to mental readiness and innovation or tranquilizer or temporary escape from the
pressure of daily study. Intellectual pursuits are often regarded as solitary e
vents.
I prefer a balance of these activities to provide both the physical condit
ioning and mental stimulation I need in my study. For me, physical recreation is
necessary for good health, but intellectual pursuits give me the most pleasure.
